What Sub Symbols Are?

Adding some symbols that can replace other icons is one of the most popular strategies to raise the quality of slot excitement. These are frequently known as wilds. Nowadays, they appear in almost every slot that is created. They are special symbols with additional qualities to help players, just as scatters. Traditionally, winning combinations require matching symbols on an activated payline. However, substitutions are treated the same as other symbols.

Substitution symbols on slot machines are fairly prevalent. It’s even used in some older, simpler fruit games. This is said to be a fundamental element of slots. They typically include more effective add-on boosters, like increasing multipliers. They can also grow, stick, push, kick, and burst, among many other things. Developers are always increasing the possibilities of alternative symbols to provide players with more chances to win.

Major Features of Sub Symbols

For the biggest win achievable, the substitution symbol has the ability to become stacked. The sub icon will not transform into other symbols if a winning combination cannot be formed. Only sub symbols will become the highest value symbol if they appear on the reel field. Free spin icons cannot be replaced by substitution symbols.

Random Sub Symbols

When playing online slots, more random sub-symbol species may appear. If there are at least two clusters of the same icon in the first game, the random sub symbol can be triggered. These clusters must each include four characters or more.

At least 1 sub symbol is added to the reels on stacked cells to the free clusters whenever the random sub symbol is enabled. Up until you receive a win, further sub symbols are added at random.

If there are three free spins icons, either fully or partially shown on the reels, or if a nudge reel may be enabled, the random sub symbol cannot be engaged. Other than reels 1 and 6, substitution symbols are applied to cells stacked to existing clusters or other sub symbols.

How Do Sub Symbols Work with Free Spins?

Random sub symbols are combined and transferred from the reels throughout free spins. The first two sub symbols appear on the reels at random. During the free spins action, the additional sub symbols are placed to the objects already piled in the groups the first two sub symbols created.

Consequently, 2 to 6 sub symbols are added to the reels in the majority of slots during the respin phase. If the sub symbols can form a successful combination, they change into the selected symbol. The total wins from the free spins are increased by potential winnings. Symbols that were utilized as replacements return to their original state. From 1 to 4 sub symbols are removed from the reels until you spin again. Between spins, there are always at least two sub-symbols present.
