Zappit Blackjack – Play the Traditional Twenty-One Game Online for Free

Zappit Blackjack is a fun and exciting variation of a traditional Twenty-One. This game is frequently chosen by players who are interested in blackjack but want to have more flexibility and space for a maneuver.

So what is Zappit Blackjack?

This is a Twenty-One game with only one essential difference. Players whose hand has from 15 to 18 points can swap it and receive a new hand.

How Was Zappit Blackjack Created?

This variation of blackjack was created by Geoff Hall. This creative inventor of Zappit Blackjack is also known for a range of brand-new variants of other table games. However, the most famous among them is Blackjack Switch – a game in which a player gets two hands, and he or she can swap one card from one hand to another.

General Rules of Zappit Blackjack

Zappit Blackjack has rules that are very similar to a conventional Twenty-One game.

The game process consists of the following steps:

  • Place a bet
  • Get a hand from a dealer.
  • Make one of the following moves: Hit, Stand, Double, Split, Surrender, or Zap.

The move one should make depends on the exact hand one receives, and the aim of the game (get 21 points) should be kept in mind.

  • Hit means one asks for an extra card.
  • Stand allows a player to continue the round with only two cards.
  • Double multiplies the number of points in a hand by 2.
  • Split allows a user to divide a hand.
  • Surrender means to end the round.
  • Zap gives a player an exclusive second chance as the hand is swept.

Same as in traditional Blackjack, cards have the ranking which is as follows:

  • Ace gives 11 points.
  • 10, Jack, Queen, or King adds 10 points to a hand value.
  • 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 give the number of points that corresponds to the name of a card.

Zappit Specific Rules

Although Zappit is a variation that is very similar to a conventional Twenty-One game, there is a range of specific rules, namely:

  1. Dealer 22 Counts as Push: this rule means that every time a dealer “busts” and gets 22 points, it is considered to be a push for the hands of all players. This is not a player-friendly rule, but it is introduced to compensate Zap rule.
  2. Zap: this is a special option that allows a player to swap a hand if it is anywhere between 15 and 18 points. This option can be used only one time per round.
  3. Zap-influenced Payouts: if 21 is scored as a result of Zap, a payout is 1:1.
  4. Payouts: Blackjack hand gives 3:2, the Insurance hand pays 2:1, other winning hands are worth 1:1.
