Arctic Blast: Fabamaq’s Frosty Video Bingo With a Spin Bonus

Arctic Blast is a video bingo game from Fabamaq, the Portuguese developer also known by its FBM brand, which has built bingo machines for land-based venues for many years before bringing its titles online. The game wraps a classic bingo draw in a polar setting of ice, snow and cheerful arctic animals, and it adds a slot-style spin bonus on top of the usual card patterns.

How the Draw Works

You play several bingo cards at the same time. After choosing your stake, the machine draws a series of balls and automatically marks matching numbers on your cards. Prizes depend on which patterns you complete, ranging from smaller shapes to full-card achievements. Depending on how close you are to a valuable pattern, the game may offer extra balls after the main draw, each at an additional cost.

• Developer: Fabamaq (FBM)
• Game type: video bingo with multiple cards
• Theme: arctic ice and polar wildlife
• Highlight: a spin bonus that blends bingo with slot mechanics

The Spin Bonus

What distinguishes Arctic Blast from plain bingo is its Spin Bonus, a feature Fabamaq uses in a handful of its titles. When triggered, the game switches into a slot-like round where winning combinations can add to your total, and in some cases extra free spins are awarded. It brings a welcome change of pace between draws and gives the game a second layer of excitement beyond simply filling patterns.

Playing Sensibly

Video bingo moves quickly, and the extra-ball offers can tempt you to keep spending when a pattern is nearly complete. It helps to decide beforehand whether you will buy extra balls at all, and to set a session limit. Every draw is random, and previous rounds have no bearing on the next one.

Verdict: Arctic Blast is a polished, cheerful video bingo from a developer with deep roots in the format, made more lively by its spin bonus. Explore the patterns and the bonus in the free demo above before you consider playing for real money.
