Amaterasu Keno: Mascot Gaming’s Japanese Sun Goddess Keno

Amaterasu Keno is a keno game from Mascot Gaming, a studio that often gives familiar formats an extra twist. Named after the sun goddess of Japanese Shinto mythology, it dresses the number board in a rising-sun aesthetic with temple details and warm reds and golds. Released in 2022, it keeps the core of keno intact while adding features you would normally expect to see in a slot.

The Basics of the Draw

Keno is a lottery-style game: you mark a selection of numbers on the board, place your stake, and a set of numbers is drawn at random. The more of your picks that match the draw, the more you win, according to the paytable. You decide how many numbers to play, which lets you lean towards more frequent small returns or rarer, larger ones.

• Developer: Mascot Gaming
• Game type: keno with bonus features
• Theme: Amaterasu, the Japanese sun goddess
• Key features: a Lucky Number mechanic and free games

Lucky Number and Free Games

Amaterasu Keno sets itself apart with its Lucky Number feature, which adds an extra point of interest to each draw as you watch for that special number to appear. The game can also award free games, letting you play additional draws without placing a new stake. These features add the kind of anticipation slot fans enjoy, while the underlying number-matching remains simple. Volatility is on the higher side, so results can be uneven from one session to the next.

Who Will Enjoy It

This game suits keno players who want more than a plain board, and slot players who are curious about keno but want familiar features like free rounds. Since every draw is random, there is no way to choose better numbers; picking your favourites is just as valid as any system. Set a stake level you are comfortable with and stick to it.

Verdict: Amaterasu Keno adds a mythological theme, a Lucky Number and free games to classic keno. Try the free demo above to get used to the board and features before deciding whether to play for real money.
