Thimbles by Evoplay: The Classic Shell Game Online

Thimbles is Evoplay’s take on one of the oldest games of chance around: the shell game. A ball is hidden under one of three thimbles, the thimbles are shuffled, and you have to say where the ball ended up. Street hustlers made the game famous for sleight of hand, but this digital version runs on a random number generator, so the result is decided fairly by software rather than by a quick pair of hands.

How to Play Thimbles

The rules take seconds to learn, which is a big part of the game’s charm:

• Set your stake for the round
• Watch as the ball is placed and the thimbles are shuffled
• Pick the thimble you think hides the ball
• A correct guess pays out according to the fixed odds shown in the game

Some versions of the game let you choose more than one thimble at a time, which raises your chance of being right while lowering the payout. Check the in-game rules during the demo to see which bet options are available here.

Fixed Odds, No Tricks

Following the shuffle closely can feel important, and it is part of the fun, but the outcome is random. There is no visual tell or pattern to spot, and past rounds have no influence on the next one. That makes Thimbles a pure game of chance with clearly displayed odds, which some players find refreshing compared with slots, where the maths is less visible.

Who Should Try It

Thimbles is ideal for anyone who wants an instant game they can understand immediately. Rounds are short, the decision is simple, and it works nicely on a phone. Players looking for big bonus features will not find them here, as the appeal is the tension of a single guess.

Our verdict: Evoplay has turned a familiar fairground classic into a clean, quick online game. Start with the demo above to get a feel for the pace and payouts, set a budget, and enjoy the guessing without expecting to beat the odds.
