Penalty by InBet Games: Bet on the Spot Kick

Penalty is a virtual football game from InBet Games, built around the most nerve-racking moment in the sport: the penalty kick. InBet introduced its penalty kick game in 2017, ahead of that year’s Confederations Cup, and it went on to win Best Sport Themed Game at the SBC Awards 2017. Instead of spinning reels, you bet on how a shot will turn out.

What You Can Bet On

The core question is simple: will the kicker score or will the goalkeeper save? From there, the game opens up more detailed markets for players who want bigger odds:

• Goal or save as the main outcome
• The height of the shot: upper, middle or lower
• A rebound off the post
• The exact target cell, numbered from 1 to 24

The more precise your prediction, the higher the potential payout, and the less likely it is to land. Predicting an exact cell or a post rebound pays the most.

Timed Rounds and Statistics

In its original form each round lasts around two minutes, with a countdown clock so you can place your bets before the kick is taken. The game also shows statistics from the previous 120 shots. These numbers can be interesting to look at, but every kick is decided randomly, so past results do not change the odds of the next shot.

Who It Suits

Penalty is aimed at players who enjoy sports betting style choices but want the speed of a casino game. Football fans will recognise the setting immediately, and the betting options give more control than a typical instant game. Those who prefer non-stop action may find the timed rounds a little slow.

Verdict: Penalty is an award-winning virtual sports game with clear markets and a strong football theme. Practise in the demo to learn the betting grid, keep stakes sensible, and remember that knowledge of real football does not affect a random outcome.
