Dragon poker is rather a difficult variant of poker. It maintains the same basic rules as in classic stud poker, however, face cards and suits have different names. Modifiers feature allows players to change the rules of the game depending on the position, the number of players, etc. There’s not much about this poker variant in the book but this didn’t stop game developers from making their own rules for it.

In Dragon poker, 52 normal decks of cards are used. The suits of the cards—diamonds, hearts, spades, and clubs—are another connection to stud poker. This value’s card might be either the lowest or highest, as aces in a regular game of poker.

The deck contains 7 Dragon cards, 7 Phoenix cards, 8 Tiger cards, 9 Panda cards, and 10 Monkey cards. In addition, you will find 12 Rabbit cards. There’re 3 Fire Dragons, 3 Water Dragons, and 1 Golden Dragon. According to the paytable, Fire and Water Dragons have the same value.

How to Play

The dealer gives himself, the other players three cards to start the table game. The next option for players is to raise or fold. The winning combinations are then disclosed after the dealer and player both reveal their cards. The most valued hand in this game is a three of a kind, which is followed by a pair and a single combo. Equal payments are given on the ante and raise bets if your hand is better than the dealer’s. If the dealer has the best hand, you lose your wager and the game moves on to a new round.

Bonus Games

Players can also place two side bets. You can play an additional bonus game “3 Cards”. Having 3 Dragon cards gives you an impressive 40:1 payout, while 3 Phoenix cards have a 30:1 payout. You can also get a 15:1 payout on 3 Tiger cards.

2 cards on the Dragon, Phoenix, and Tiger cards have payouts of 4:1, 2:1, and 2:1, respectively. Getting 3 Fire Dragon and 3 Water Dragon cards gives you the highest payout of 1000:1. You can also predict 2 Dragon cards and a Golden Dragon to get 7:1 and 5:1 payouts. 3 Dragon cards, including 1 Golden Dragon bring a payout of 200:1.
