Blue Ocean: An Underwater Fishing Shooter by Vela Gaming

Blue Ocean is a fishing-style shooting game from Vela Gaming, set in a sea full of fish, sharks and turtles. Fish shooters are among the most popular casino games in Asia, and this title follows the classic formula: you control a net gun, aim at the creatures swimming past and win prizes for each catch. It is listed among our other games, and the demo above lets you practise without risk.

Catching Fish with a Net Gun

Every shot is a bet. You choose your bet level, point the net gun and fire. If a shot catches a fish, you receive the prize attached to that creature. Small fish are easy to catch but pay little, while larger animals such as sharks are harder to land and pay considerably more. Raising your bet upgrades the gun so it catches fish faster, but each shot then costs more. Bets range from 1 to 3,000, and the biggest catches can pay up to 150,000 times the bet.

Catches are decided randomly. Aiming adds an element of involvement, but it cannot change the odds built into the game.

Life Under the Sea

The underwater setting is bright and busy. Schools of colourful fish glide across the screen, larger predators cruise through and the constant movement creates an energetic, almost hypnotic atmosphere. It works smoothly on mobile as well as on desktop.

Useful Tips

• Check each creature’s prize value in the help screen
• Remember that every shot is a separate wager
• Use the demo to test different bet levels

Because fish shooters are fast and absorbing, decide on a budget and a time limit in advance, and stick to them.
